Important Details

Why This Program Exists?

This program was developed in response to the lived experiences of immigrant and first-generation communities, where families make profound sacrifices to create opportunities for future generations. These experiences highlight the importance of resilience, intergenerational support, and values-based leadership in building long-term success.

Grounded in principles of gratitude, compassion, and strong family values, the program is designed to cultivate personal growth, social responsibility, and collective strength. It reflects the belief that progress is amplified through community—where individuals support one another with faith, hope, and shared purpose.

Format & Learner Involvement Capacity Required

This program will require learners to book 3 individual private virtual coaching calls (based on their own availability) with our dedicated and experienced leadership coaches. Each call will be 30 minutes to 1 hour in length based on learners' preferences. Each call will follow a specific structure and discuss the following topics:

1. Defining Your Story & Leadership Identity

Participants reflect on their experiences, strengths, and values to articulate a clear sense of identity and purpose. This module sets the foundation for confident decision-making and future growth.

2. Building Confidence & Forward Momentum

Through practical strategies and mindset tools, participants strengthen their confidence, recognize their capabilities, and develop the motivation needed to take the next step in their personal or professional goals.

3. Clarifying Purpose & Vision

A structured framework helps participants identify what is meaningful to them now.
They explore their values, interests, and strengths to outline potential pathways for future fulfillment and contribution.

4. Mapping Skills & Opportunities

Participants identify transferable skills developed through work, family leadership, community involvement, and previous training. They learn how these skills can be applied to new industries, projects, or entrepreneurial opportunities.

5. Exploring Purpose Projects & Business Ideas

This module introduces practical pathways for building passion-based projects or micro businesses. Participants assess feasibility, strengths-fit, and the potential community impact of each idea.

6. The Purpose Project Blueprint

Using a simple planning model, participants transform an idea into a structured 30-day action plan. They outline goals, target audiences, timelines, and success metrics.

7. Strengthening Mindset & Overcoming Barriers

Participants learn evidence-based techniques for managing uncertainty, navigating change, and maintaining resilience as they work toward new goals.

8. Leading the Next Chapter

In the final module, participants share their purpose project plans, celebrate progress, and articulate their next steps. They leave with a renewed sense of direction, leadership, and confidence.

The program has a capstone project component that requires the learner to complete it with their family (children, spouse, relatives etc). Upon completing the capstone project, the learner will receive an honorarium of $100 CAD as a reward. The purpose of this program is to help learners rethink possibilities, build courage and self-awareness, regain their confidence and improve familial relationships along the process. It's a win-win, personally and professionally.

The capstone project is to develop a passion project plan with a family member, share reflections and record learning key takeaways. Once the program completes, learners are encouraged to join our learning hub where they can share updates of their passion projects, should they choose to continue with it, with other learners and alumni of the Illuminate community. Coaching calls are also available upon request. However, coaching calls outside of the Purpose program may require a fee from the coach which is something the learner can communicate with their respective coaches.
