As a third-year student at Mount Allison University pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to be a Community Leader at Illuminate Universe and learn from a consulting work-integrated learning experience, allowing me to delve into the world of consulting, an area that has sparked my interest as I continue to explore my future career path. Below, I share the insights from my learning and leadership experiences, key takeaways, and advice for others interested in this field.

Consulting: A Blend of Knowledge and Personal Growth

The work-integrated learning experience has equipped me with the essential resources to build a foundational understanding of consulting, helping me determine whether it aligns with my career aspirations. With expert guidance from professionals at Deloitte, the work-integrated learning experience has proven to be an invaluable resource for my personal learning, offering everything I need just within reach.

Key Learnings and Insights

Analytical Abilities: Consulting demands the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components, which is a skill I honed through various exercises and case studies. This analytical approach is crucial for deriving actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
