Illuminate Your Life

Hi everyone! My name is Wendi and I am a Grade 11 student at Richmond Hill Highschool. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Markham’s regional conference.

With social justice and social change being the main focus of many start-ups and youth-led organizations today, I found that the structure Christal introduced to us to solve big ideas (Theory of Change or TOC) was especially insightful! Below is the demo we were shown. While backwards problem solving is not exactly new, the specific steps were extremely helpful. It goes, Impact<Outputs<Acitivities<Inputs (apologies if I made a mistake, I didn't take a screenshot).

I, with my fellow conference participants, was also able to learn more about cybersecurity, and what exactly people do with a career like that. My team even briefly, very very briefly mentioned cybersecurity in our second case solution. Thank you Mash (may I call you Mash?), for giving us an insight into cybersecurity.
