Illuminate X Markham

Hi everyone! My name is Sandra and I am a Grade 11 student at Markville Secondary School. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Markham’s regional conference.

This event was an amazing experience for me as I got to learn much more about the world of social entrepreneurship from our amazing speakers. Some key things that I've taken away from today is how many opportunities this field could entitle me to and how important it is to "give back to others how much we take".

It was also exhilarating to compete in two exciting case studies as it allowed me to reflect on current social issues. Through teamwork and collaboration, my team and I were able to find creative solutions for these issues as well as learning about how important and crucial the role of technology is for any enterprise.
