Illuminate x Durham - Working ahead!

Hi everyone! My name is Sanyah Ahmed and I am a Grade 10 student at Agincourt Collegiate Institute. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Durham's regional conference. Here are my thoughts highlighting what I learned about Alina's presentation. I remember her mentioning, "it doesn't matter if you fall down, it's whether or not you get back up that matters" and that quote really struck me. It's okay to sometimes fail, but it's important to learn from your mistakes and make sure you do better the next time. Just because something went wrong doesn't mean it's over you just have to try again! During today's session, I really enjoyed making the group activity we did and presented. It was really cool to hear how everyone had a different approach to making their own customized business based on only two images. It goes to show how creative the students at the meeting can be given a short amount of time. Alina's presentation was really informative and helpful to me as an individual, I hope to use what I have learned today for my future career!
