Illuminate x durham women in stem

Hi everyone! My name is Bhumikka and I am a Grade 12 student at dunbarton high school. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Durham’s regional conference. Here are my thoughts highlighting what I learned about women in STEM. I learned about how powerful women in STEM are and all the great things that can be achieved. I learned many new things and have a greater understanding about microbiology, and imposter syndrome. I really enjoyed the fact that we were able to hear from many different women in STEM, and their struggles and their journey to where they have come. It was very motivational and grew my desire for the field of STEM. In the future I hope to pursue a career in the STEM field.
