Illuminate x Durham Reflection Post

Hi everyone! My name is Naveena, and I am a Grade 10 student at Lester B. Pearson CI. Today, I had the pleasure to attend Illuminate x Durham’s conference. Here are my thoughts highlighting what I learned about. I learnt about an employment communication website called LinkedIn, all the while I thought LinkedIn was just another website like indeed, where you would just look for jobs and apply for them. After the meeting, I learnt that it is much more than that, you can communicate with employers or others using the app, and connect with other people. In the session I really enjoyed the entrepreneur pitch. I thought it was nice to talk with others in the program aside from the people on your team, and do a small presentation together. Overall I really enjoyed todays session, and I am thankful for the opportunity.
