Illuminate X Durham Leadership in Women and STEM Conference.

Hello, my name is Manal Afzal and I am a grade 10 student at Pine Ridge SS. I had the pleasure today to attend the Illuminate X Durham Conference.

I learned many things and gained many new experiences. I learned that although we may seem young, it is the youth who drive the future. ADults simply my not see just how truly awesome we are, but the impact we can make could shake the world.

An important lesson I learned from the keynote speaker Andrea Gunraj was that women can help empower just as much, if not as more as men.
