Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend Tomiwa Ademidun’s Think Tank on “Ways to Receive Scholarships” as a part of the Associate National Lead program.
Being a grade 12 student in high school, I am constantly looking for new scholarship opportunities. Tomiwa's Think Tank brought attention to websites and ways to research your own scholarships. He emphasized the urgency of getting started on the research and making time in your schedule to fill out some scholarships. Tomiwa opened my eyes to how expensive university is and how effective scholarships can be.
Introducing us to his website, Atila, a website that provides students with resources, links and materials to scholarship opportunities. He walked us through how to use the application and even guided us through examples of applying for scholarships.
