Hi, everyone! My name is Aaron Guo and I am a Grade 11 student at Markville Secondary School. Today, I had the pleasure to attend the Illuminate National High School Leadership Conference with over 170 students globally. Here is my blog which strives to highlight what I've learned about executive thinking and entrepreneurship.

In our first keynote presented by Jodi Buckley, I learned all about CPA Ontario and all of its amazing opportunities.
In our second workshop presented, I learned about the importance of leadership and mental fitness. The stories and real-life examples introduced today really helped me grasp truly what a good leader is and how they should behave. In addition, I learned about marketing sizing concepts and breaking down the nitty gritties of the TAM SAM SOM analysis.
From now on, I know for sure that I'll be staying active in being a sage, not a saboteur. Through participating in NHLC, I now know that I have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur in the workplace, and the resources available to start my own ventures. I’m looking forward to strengthening my passion for business and participating in NHLC next year as a regional lead. Don’t be afraid to take risks and be a leader!
