Hi Everyone! My name is Kavi Mistry and I am a Grade 11 student at Dunbarton High School. Today, I had the pleasure to attend the Illuminate National High School Leadership Conference with over 170 students globally. Here is my blog which strives to highlight what I learned about topics (pick your topics: management, executive thinking, collaboration, consulting, finance and entrepreneurship).
The importance of compound interest. The younger you start to invest the more beneficial it is in the future.
The importance of a CPA, around 75% of CFO's have a CPA.
Never make assumptions about someone because that creates walls and barriers. And sometimes you have to help yourself if nobody can help you.
Entrepreneurship and leadership know no boundaries.
I demonstrate entrepreneurship through leadership and adapting to difficult circumstances. Also, by producing innovative ideas? If I were to create a business and I only had $5 in my pocket, I would create a virtual tutoring business. It is cost-effective since providing online documents and PDF's are free. Transformation cost eliminated since working would be from home. I can apply my entrepreneurial mindset in the future by building an e-commerce business.
Closing Blog Content:
I am passionate about consulting and hopefully research more and learn more about consulting in the future.
One piece of advice about leadership is that there is no specific mould of leadership. Leadership can be demonstrated through different ways and everyone can be a leader as long as they put their mind and effort into it.
