Communications Director Deborah has more than 20 years’ experience in strategic communications. A bilingual native of Montreal, she has worked in four Canadian cities and in Manchester, UK. Since obtaining a Bachelor of Public Relations (distinction), she’s worked as a freelance journalist, media spokesperson and in corporate communications. Her career has taken her from the Arctic to Africa and articles about Deborah’s travels in Uganda and Ghana were published in Canadian dailies, online blogs and the Huffington Post. Relying on her business acumen, integrity and experience, Deborah tells stories that matter. She has provided communications counsel to the C-suites of several Canadian companies, including Concentra, TELUS, Vancity and Coast Capital Savings. She’s developed and managed complex projects, media- trained executives, written op eds and articles for major publications, art-directed photo shoots and produced corporate videos as well as print and digital collateral. She has also managed issues and events. Deborah is a former board member and President of the Vancouver chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society and has volunteered her communications expertise for charitable causes including the Co-operative Development Foundation and David Suzuki Foundation.
