Introducing The Team

Erin Sun

conference design and customer experience (chair)

Hello! I’m Erin, one of the regional leads of the Illuminate x North York team. I'm currently a grade 12 student attending Alexander Mackenzie High School, in the music arts program. In my free time, I enjoy creative writing, listening to music, and catching up on my favorite Netflix shows. As a student who’s always been interested in business, I’m so excited to work with the team to bring our conference plans to reality!

Nicole Sun

Hey everyone! My name is Nicole and I am currently a grade 12 student studying the IB program at Alexander Mackenzie High School. In my free time, I enjoy doing digital art, playing the piano, and playing with my cat. I am responsible for recruitment and registrations, and I look forward to further explore my passion for business through planning this event!

Ryan Qin

Design and Marketing

Hi! My name is Ryan, I’m in grade 12 and I’m a big fan of hockey, volleyball, and music. For this conference, I’m responsible for our marketing posts and the design of our website! As I am only now learning about the business field, I hope to inspire youth and give them an early opportunity to learn and gain experience through this conference. Hope to see you there!

Regis Gu

Hi there! My name is Regis and I'm one of the regional leads this year. I currently attend St. Robert CHS in the IB program, and am looking to go into the health sciences next year. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and sleeping, sometimes all at the same time. For this conference, I'm hoping to improve student comprehension of the business and professional world through my role in speaker outreach. Can't wait to see you all there!

The Illuminate Experience ...

Young Teacher

Class Pass

In our increasingly competitive world, students are taking more and more steps to find opportunities to set them apart. However, there is one constant issue: the financial cost of choosing to pursue these opportunities is quite high for many. So, we decided to introduce the Class Pass Initiative at Illuminate, which allows teachers and educators to help students to maximize their potential without facing those prices.

With the Class Pass, we are working towards lowering the opportunity cost of excellence. The Class Pass allows teachers to purchase bundles of Illuminate Business Conference tickets, and grant them to students at a lower price. There are three tiers of the class pass, which are as follows.

Tier 1 (15 tickets): 10% off

Tier 2 (25 tickets): 20% off

Tier 3 (35 or more tickets): 25% off
