Aneesa ameen

Aneesa Ameen is currently a grade 12 student at Jean Vanier CSS. Through her involvement as the DECA Chapter President at Jean Vanier, she has put her love of business to use competitively and has also refined her leadership skills by running meetings and leading a team of Executives. In her second year as President, team membership has increased by approximately 166%! She has also been involved in various case study competitions including McMaster High School Business Heroes and Student Starts, a 24-hour case competition partnered with Ivey School of Business. As a member of the Student Council, Executive of the Social Justice Team, and Student Senate, Aneesa is an active member of her school community and strives to be a positive student voice. She is ecstatic to serve as a Business Development Intern for Illuminate Universe and help students be a part of incredible opportunities.

Ariana is a grade 12 student who is highly driven and passionate about the world of business. She is a Provincial Champion at DECA business competition and International Competitor and is constantly looking for ways to network with other like-minded peers. She is never afraid to step out of my comfort zone and accept new challenges.

My name is Celine Chung and I'm a Grade 12 student at York Mills Collegiate Institute. I have competed in 3 NHBC case competitions in the past. This year, I am excited to be a business development intern for NHBC's CEO for a Day". During my free time, I enjoy taking pictures and trying new bubble tea stores around Toronto.  In the future, I hope to pursue a job in the business field for either marketing or finance.

She plans to potentially pursue her post-secondary education in Business Administration and Commerce. She actively participates in both her community and school, as she is a VP in DECA and works in various initiatives around her city and PEEL Region like PEYA. To her, being an intern for Illuminate Universe's CEO for a Day conference has allowed her to develop her skills and broaden her experiences with marketing and outreach. She is looking forward to being a part of a unique opportunity to work with her peers and be apart of an amazing experiential event!

Being in my senior year of high school, I am a dedicated high-school student and experienced president with a demonstrated history of working in the financial industry. Skilled in leadership, accounting, public speaking and legal services. Thorough Throughout my high-school years, I have experienced a wide array of different clubs and committees. Being involved within the school community has allowed me to become a better leader and individual within the community. Through Illuminate’s Business Intern program I have learned many important skills that are highly valuable in the business world such as marketing, communication skills, and most importantly social skills.

sineen MADNI

Sineen Madni is a Grade 12 student at North Toronto Collegiate Institute specializing in business. In her capacity as the Director of the Junior Economist at the Junior Economic Club of Toronto, Sineen writes authoritative and well-appreciated articles on topics that range all the way from Open Banking to even Behavioral Economics. She heads up a team of nine capable writers, and has launched her strategy to bring new stature and visibility to the JEC’s rich thought-leadership content. This also involves her astute deployment of recognized best practices in social media.

However, Sineen is also equally comfortable commenting upon the federal government policy on pipelines in a speech she delivered at the Forum for Young Canadians on Parliament Hill, or crafting legislation at the Ontario Model Parliament program which had selected her to represent her riding.

My name is Yusuf Baig, I and I am extremely proud to be serving as a business development intern at Illuminate Universe! Currently, I am in grade eleven, completing the IB Diploma at Erindale Secondary School. I participate in many extracurricular activities, such as DECA, trivia, cross country, soccer, and model U.N. Most importantly, however, I am passionate about business, and love to attend conferences that gives me experience in the business environment. I can't wait to get a chance to meet like-minded individuals at the upcoming CEO for a day conference!
