zupaash naveed

Hi there! My name is Zupaash Naveed and I am the Chair of the National High School Leadership Conference. My role is to develop conference design and lead my team of executives. You may recognize me as I was also the Chair of the Illuminate x Durham Regional Conference called The Future of Women in Leadership and STEM. I am beyond passionate about the world where business meets technology and maximizing futuristic success. Over the course of the pandemic lots have been put into perspective and that includes the value, science, and philosophy of leadership. My goal with this conference is not only to pass on the baton for leadership, but also to teach others how to apply it in the current world and remain contemporary.

Quick Answers

Each team may have up to five members. If you don't have five teammates but would like to compete with a full team, we will randomly assign other students to your team.

How many people will be on each team?

Any individual registrants will be merged together with others to ensure that all registrants are able to compete in a team.

What if I don't have a team?

Any teams or individuals that register after November 25th MUST email angelina.zheng@illuminateuniverse.com stating the members of their teams (if any).

You will be assigned a random team if you do not provide your team members' names.

What happens if I miss the team registration deadline?

Registered competitors will be sent a Google Form soon to confirm their team's names and emails.

Deadline to complete the Google Form will be November 25th at 11:59 PM EST.

When does team registration happen? How do I register my team?

All team members need to each purchase a ticket by Friday, November 25th (contact angelina.zheng@illuminateuniverse.com for extensions). We cannot guarantee team placements if tickets are purchased after this deadline.

Do I need to purchase a ticket?

Each team will elect a “Team Leader/Captain” on the Team Registration form (to be sent out) to receive communications from Illuminate (event reminders, prepped case details, etc.).

How will communications work?

Class Pass

In our increasingly competitive world, students are taking more and more steps to find opportunities to set them apart. However, there is one constant issue: the financial cost of choosing to pursue these opportunities is quite high for many. So, we decided to introduce the Class Pass Initiative at Illuminate, which allows teachers and educators to help students to maximize their potential without facing those prices.

With the Class Pass, we are working towards lowering the opportunity cost of excellence. The Class Pass allows teachers to purchase bundles of Illuminate Business Conference tickets, and grant them to students at a lower price. There are three tiers of the class pass, which are as follows.

Tier 1 (15 tickets): 15% off

Tier 2 (25 tickets): 25% off

Tier 3 (35 or more tickets): 35% off
